Admission closes on 13 October 2026
Amsterdam, 27 October 2026
Building on the energy from our Training Day in Oxford, we're bringing the IFI community together for our first in-person Training Day in Amsterdam. This is a day designed for people who are ready to go deep, not sit through panels, but work through the real questions shaping their practice alongside others doing the same.
We've timed it just ahead of GIIN, but you don't need to be attending the conference to join us — just bring yourself.

What's on
The sessions
Full Day Session, Option A
Led by Chintan Panchal and Catalyze
Building Fit-for-Purpose Funds
Built for fund managers, this is a full day to go deep on the real decisions behind fund design. Come with a challenge you're working through right now. You'll see actual design decisions and trade-offs walked through using live examples, and work through your own alongside them. By the end, you'll have a decision-making framework you can apply immediately to your own fund design questions and a concrete understanding of how innovative deal structures work in practice.
Morning Sessions (Morning Track and Full Day Option B)
Led by Aunnie Patton Power
Impact Exits
What if the exit wasn't the end of the value you've created, but the act that embedded it forever? This session brings the Impact Exits framework to life through real cases and live working sessions. Built for fund managers, investment officers, financial advisors, and practitioners working at the intersection of capital and impact, whether inside an impact fund, a family office, a foundation, a DFI, or an advisory firm.
Practitioner-led
Patient Capital Structures
Exploring the structures and incentives behind truly patient capital deployment, what it takes, what it looks like in practice, and how to build it into your own work. A session for those working at the longer, slower, more committed end of the capital spectrum.
Led by Esme Verity
Risk Capital
A hands-on session on designing risk capital that is genuinely fit for purpose, from redeemable equity and revenue-based finance to SME mezzanine structures, and the levers within each that make capital work for the ventures closest to the problems.
Afternoon Sessions (Afternoon Track and Full Day Option B)
Led by Purpose Foundation
Financing Steward Ownership
For fund managers, asset owners, and entrepreneurs working with or considering steward ownership models. How do you finance a structure designed to keep mission at the centre, permanently? A session built around real cases and live problem-solving, grounded in Purpose Foundation's steward ownership financing toolkit.
Led by Aunnie Patton Power
Impact-First for Family Offices, Foundations and Advisors
Designed specifically for family offices, foundations, and advisors looking to align their capital more fully with their values, without losing rigour or returns. A session that goes beyond the theory and into the practical decisions shaping impact-first portfolios.
Practitioner-led
Working Capital
An exploration of working capital structures, supply chain finance, guarantees, and the creative approaches being used to close the gap between what enterprises need and what conventional capital provides.
Who is this for?
This day is for fund managers, asset owners, investors, advisors, founders, and intermediaries who are ready to go beyond frameworks and into the real decisions shaping their practice.
This isn't a day of sitting and listening, you'll be getting stuck in, working through real documents and live challenges with people who are grappling with the same things as you.
Come ready to:
- Bring a live challenge you're working through
- Work through real design decisions and trade-offs
- Contribute, question, and engage, not just observe
- Meet fellow practitioners before, during, and after the day
